Sharleen Karanja is a highly skilled clinical psychologist and professional mediator with over seven years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families navigate complex emotional and relational challenges. With a deep commitment to fostering mental well-being and resolving conflicts, Sharleen offers a unique blend of psychological expertise and mediation skills, enabling clients to achieve lasting change and harmony.

Sharleen is currently a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology from Daystar University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. She has extensive experience working with a diverse range of clients, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions and stress management.

How it all began

In addition to her clinical practice, Sharleen is a certified professional mediator, specializing in conflict resolution and collaborative problem-solving. She works with couples, families, and organizations to facilitate open communication, resolve disputes, and foster understanding. Sharleen is passionate about empowering clients to find common ground and develop practical solutions that promote long-term peace and cooperation.

Known for her compassionate approach and ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space, Sharleen is dedicated to helping clients achieve their personal and relational goals. Whether working with individuals on their mental health journey or guiding parties through mediation, Sharleen is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those she serves.

Sharleen is also actively involved in continuing education and professional development, ensuring that she remains at the forefront of the latest advancements in psychology and mediation. [She is a member of the Kenya Psychiatric Association and Kenya Psychological Association. She is also a registered member of the Counsellors and Psychologists Board of Kenya.

When not in the office, Sharleen enjoys reading novels, listening to music, taking nature walks and traveling which helps her maintain a balanced and fulfilling life. She believse that self-care is an essential component of effective practice and strives to model this in both her personal and professional life.
